Agravaine de Bois †
|List of Appearances:||His Father's Son|
At some point in the past, war broke out between Caerleon and Camelot, probably after the death of Caerleon's father with whom Uther had a peace contract. Caerleon was defeated by Uther at the Battle of Denaria, but he retreated to the Castle of Fyrien. Victory would have been denied to Camelot, if Uther hadn't known about a secret labyrinth beneath the castle. Fyrien was in fact greedy, and to avoid Camelot's levies he had dug tunnels from the castle to the sea. That way he could smuggle goods into the kingdom without anyone knowing (The Castle of Fyrien).
Following the death of Uther, he began raiding Camelot. During one of these raids, he was eventually led into a trap and captured by Arthur and his men. Following his uncle's advice, Arthur tried to force him to sign a treaty. He refused, which made Arthur reluctantly order him to be killed. His body was later returned to his kingdom. This event led to the brief war between Camelot and Caerleon which was led by his wife (His Father's Son).
Little is known about Caerleon's personality. It is unknown how exactly he treated his wife, Annis. However, it is assumed that he loved his wife, and she proved to love him back, with the grief for her husband's death fueling her vengeance on Arthur over his death. He appeared to not care much about his kingdom as he was willing to leave it when he wanted more land. Caerleon was also very stubborn and proud as he refused to sign a peace treaty and appear weak, even when his life was threatened.
AbilitiesEditCaerleon led mercenaries around Camelot to conquer land. He ran with them, carrying a sword. It is unknown if he was good at sword fighting, but it is assumed that this would be the case due to him being a king. Several years before, he fought in the Battle of Denaria and survived which implies that he was skilled in battle.
