The Valley of Chemary is a wooded valley in the kingdom of Camelot. It is frequently shrouded in fog.
History[]
When Morgana stole the Crystal of Neahtid from the castle vaults, she took it to Alvarr's camp in the Valley of Chemary and gave it to him and Mordred. She was secretly followed by Merlin, who spied on their meeting.
After Merlin told him what he'd seen, Gaius went to the king and claimed to have been visited by an anonymous informant. He told him that Alvarr had stolen the Crystal and the location of his camp, which prompted Uther to send Arthur to the valley to investigate.
Though Morgana snuck out ahead of them and warned Alvarr they were coming, Arthur, Merlin, and the Knights of Camelot found their camp. They captured Alvarr and recovered the Crystal, but Mordred managed to escape.
Merlin was tasked with guarding the Crystal on the way back to Camelot. He was unable to resist gazing into it and beheld a vision of the Great Dragon attacking Camelot (The Witch's Quickening).
