It was Mordred. He was guiding someone to Morgana's Chamber.
Merlin to Gaius[src]

Morgana's Chambers are the personal quarters of Morgana Pendragon.

The furniture consists of a bed, divan, dressing table, wardrobe, a table and chairs, and a changing screen. The furniture is made of dark wood, and pastel colours are featured throughout.

Morgana's chambers are also known to have an anteroom, room dividers, side entrance, and fireplace.

History[]

Merlin 292

Merlin and Morgana care for Mordred.

Soon after arriving in Camelot, Merlin accidentally entered Morgana's room while she was changing. Fortunately, Gwen was able to cover for him before his presence was discovered (The Dragon's Call).

Gwen was tidying Morgana's chambers when she was arrested on suspicion of sorcery (The Mark of Nimueh).

Gwen watched Lancelot ride away from Camelot from a window in Morgana's chambers (Lancelot).

The night after Morgana received flowers from a secret admirer, she fell into a coma that lasted three days. She was finally cured by Edwin Muirden, who ordered everyone to leave her chambers, then used magic to remove a beetle that had crawled into her ear (A Remedy to Cure All Ills).

After Merlin helped Mordred escape from the guards, he and Morgana conspired to hide him in her chambers. For several days, they worked together to conceal him from search parties and treat his infected arm. At one point during Mordred's recovery, Arthur arrived to search Morgana's chambers. However, she was able to trick him into leaving by mockingly suggesting that the boy was hidden behind a nearby screen (The Beginning of the End).

When Morgana found the Mage Stone in Tom forge, she took it home and hid it in her chambers (To Kill the King).

When Morgana's magic began to manifest itself, she accidentally set her curtains on fire, blew out her window, and shattered a vase filled with flowers (The Nightmare Begins).

Morgause left her healing bracelet in Morgana's chambers after Morgana refused to accept it as a gift (The Sins of the Father).

Merlin stole a dress from Morgana's wardrobe to give to Freya (The Lady of the Lake).

Mordred and Alvarr visited Morgana in her chambers to convince her to steal the Crystal of Neahtid for them. Morgana later hid the Crystal in her dressing table until she was able to deliver it to their camp (The Witch's Quickening).

When Camelot fell victim to a powerful sleeping enchantment, Morgana (the only person unaffected by the spell) hid in her chambers until Merlin and Arthur returned to the citadel (The Fires of Idirsholas).

When Merlin accidentally released a Goblin, he chased it through the castle and later found it in Morgana's chambers. It rifled through her jewelry box and stole her healing bracelet as it made its escape (Goblin's Gold).

Merlin 708

Morgana sets out to murder Uther.

While Morgana lay dying from a severe skull fracture, she overheard Uther's confession that he, not Gorlois, was her biological father. After she recovered, the king refused to acknowledge their true relationship and Morgana, enraged, decided to murder him.

Merlin tried to stop her, but she used her magic to throw him against a wall, knocking him unconscious. The force of the blow also knocked over some candles, lighting her curtains on fire (The Crystal Cave).

While Arthur was on a quest to the Perilous Lands, Morgana periodically went to her chambers to activate the Phoenix Eye she'd given him, draining his life force. Suspicious of her behaviour, Gwen hid in her chambers to spy on her and witnessed Morgana using magic to light a fire (The Eye of the Phoenix).

After Morgana betrayed Camelot and left the citadel, her rooms presumably remained vacant (The Coming of Arthur).
